REM, on behalf of the owners of The Shard, has confirmed that it has let 16,875 sq ft on Level 11 of The Shard to Dods Group plc (“Dods”) on a 10-year lease. The content, events, digital media and print publisher selected the iconic vertical city for its new corporate headquarters due to its connectivity to Westminster and will move from its current base on Dartmouth Street, SW1, to London Bridge in September 2016.
The deal is the third letting to be confirmed in 2016, following the announcements that digital marketing agency Jellyfish and luxury fashion retailer MATCHESFASHION.COM had taken space earlier in the year. It brings the total mix of occupiers to 28 businesses across 15 industry sectors and the building’s office space to nearly 90% let.

It joins a host of other publishing houses in the London Bridge area, which is quickly becoming the epicentre of Capital’s media industry. The Shard’s connectivity to both Westminster and the company’s clients was an important consideration, but the opportunity to be part of a busy and diverse office eco-system in a vibrant neighbourhood sealed the deal. Interest in the remaining office space remains strong from an interesting mix of potential occupiers as we approach full capacity.
